I want to share an amazing opportunity to support an amazing lady, Kathryn Hubert. But first, I need to share about Kathryn's cousin, Zach, who used to work for us at Zoe Clothing. Zach is a great worker, great friend, and great person. He has faced many challenges growing up with autism, but has faced these challenges with faith, courage, and joy. Zach shared with me about his cousin who is starting a French restaurant. I am sure the food will be great and I know the service will be awesome, but what is going to set this place apart is the people. Kathryn wants to employ people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Those with special needs have always been close to our hearts. I met my wife when she was helping at a Christian camp serving adults with special needs. Families affected by disability may have different needs, but just like us, they are created to glorify God and to worship God. There's something special in this worship because it is pure and it is focused. People with special needs are created in God's image and loved by Him. We can love them and point them to Christ by helping them, serving them, and even employing them.
