Check Your Heart (Ladies)

Our hearts can have a lot of competing desires. We desire love, comfort, security, and affirmation. On a more mundane level, our hearts can desire coffee, technology, and even tacos. While these things are not evil, they can become sinful if they replace our love and worship of God. Paul reminds us to continually check our motives and desires. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, he reminds us to do everything, even something as simple as eating and drinking, for God: "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Yes, you can eat tacos for the glory of God!!!
